C/C++ Developer

The candidate will be a member of a team of developers focused on developing and enhancing proprietary electronic matching engine and related software. This suite of technologies powers exchanges such as the U.S. Treasury (fixed income) marketplace and U.S. Treasury Futures exchange.
The candidate will be working as a programmer/analyst in the Matching Engine group. He/she will help make functional and technical modifications to the components that comprise the electronic matching platform by participating in the full development life cycle including, analysis, design, coding and testing. In addition, the candidate will have 3rd level production support responsibilities. All developers in the group are required to routinely interact with and support the QA group, Business Analysis group and Production Support Group.
Qualifications: -Experience in developing high throughput, low latency server side applications using C or C++ in Unix/Linux environments. Typical candidate will have experience in one or more of the following industries: high frequency trading, telecom and or other real-time embedded programming environments such as control systems, device drivers etc. -Languages: C, XML, C++, STL, HTML, Perl, Scripting languages (bash, ksh). -Proficient in multi-threaded, real-time programming techniques -Solid understanding of TCP/IP and network programming is required -Experience in low-level programming, including solid understanding of hardware architecture, OS services, compiler techniques, memory synchronization techniques is a plus. -Experience in Boost framework is desirable -Software Packages: Boost, perforce, ant, Eclipse/Net Beans, MS Studio, JDBC, JSF and Cruise Control -Protocols: FIX, TCP/IP and other middleware products like TIBCO, 29 West etc. -Sybase
